SSC CHSL - 25 May 2022 - Shift 3 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q75

A rectangular water tank is 1.5 m high, 3 m long and 3.5 m wide. How much water (in litres) can it hold?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

Explanation

The correct answer is option 3 i.e. 15750

Given:

Length = 3 m

Breadth = 3.5 m

Height = 1.5 m

Formula used:

Volume of cuboid = Length × breadth × height                    ----- (1)

Calculations:

Using equation (1), we get

Volume of tank = 3 × 3.5 × 1.5

⇒ 15.75 m3

We know that, 1 m3 = 1000 litre

⇒ 15.75 × 1000 = 15750 litre
