A point P is outside a circle. The length of the tangent from P is 10 cm, and the distance from P to the center is 125\sqrt{125} cm. What is the radius of the circle?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 5 cm.

Let radius (OA) = r cm

102 + r2 = (√125)2

⇒ 100 + r2 = 125

⇒ r2 = 25

⇒ r = 5 cm
