A person travels equal distances at speeds of 3 km/h, 4 km/h, 5 km/h, 6 km/h. and takes total time of 3 hours 48 minutes. The total distance (in km) is:

The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 16

Let's assume the total distance = 4D

ATQ,

Time = Distance/Speed

D/3 + D/4 + D/5 + D/6 = 3453\frac{4}{5}

⇒ (20D + 15D + 12D + 10D)/60 = 19/5

⇒ 57D = 12 × 19

D = 4

So, the total distance = 4D = 4 × 4 = 16 km
