Show answer & explanation
Correct answer: A
Explanation
The corret answer is option 1 i.e. 29100.
Given that, amount = ₹48,500
SI =
Let the amount to be invested at 15% interest rate be ₹x.
Remaining amount to be invested at 10% interest rate = 48500 - x
According to the given question,
⇒ 15x = 10(48500 - x)
⇒ 15x = 485000 - 10x
⇒ 25x = 485000
⇒ x = 19400
Now, amount invested at the rate of 10% = 48500 - x
⇒ 29100
Hence the second part that was invested( in ₹) at the rate of 10% simple interest is 29100.
