The correct answer is option 1 i.e. 1.056 cm³

The volume of the material removed = volume of cylinder - volume of cone

= πr²h −$\dfrac{1}{3}$πr²h

= $\dfrac{1}{3}$πr²h {r = $\dfrac{1.2}{2}$= 0.6, h = 1.4}

= $\dfrac{2}{3}$×$\dfrac{22}{7}$× 0.6² × 1.4 = 2 × 22 × 0.2 × 0.2 × 0.6 = 1.056 cm³
