A circular field is surrounded by a path 2 m wide. If the inner radius is 10 m, find the cost to pave the path at ₹20 per m².

Outer radius R = 10 + 2 = 12

Area (Ring) = π(R² − r²)

Area =π(122−102)=π(144−100)=44π= \pi(12^2 - 10^2) = \pi(144 - 100) = 44\pi

=44×227=9687= 44 \times \frac{22}{7} = \frac{968}{7}

Cost = Area × Rate

Cost =9687×20=193607=2765.71= \frac{968}{7} \times 20 = \frac{19360}{7} = 2765.71
