A can complete 25% of a work in 15 days. He works for 15 days and then B alone finishes the remaining work in 30 days. In how many days will A and B working together finish 50% of the same work?
Show answer & explanation
Correct answer: C
Explanation
The correct answer is option 3 i.e 12
According to the question,
25% of a work Completed by A = 15 days
So, Total work completed by A = 100 ×15 / 25 = 60 days
and Remaining work done by B= 30 days
So, total work done by B = 100×30 / 75 = 40 days
then Total work = 120
Now, Efficiency of = 120 / 6 = 2
And Efficiency of B =120 / 40 = 3
Then 50%. Total work done by (A+B) = 50%. Of 120 /( 2 + 3) = 60 / 5
= 12 days.
