A, B, C, and D share a property worth Rs 93,100. If A : B = 1 : 2, B : C = 3 : 4, and C : D = 5 : 6, then find the share of C.

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: B

Explanation

The correct answer is Option 2 i.e. Rs. 28,000.

Given:

A + B + C + D = 93,100

A : B = 1 : 2, B : C = 3 : 4, C : D = 5 : 6

Explanation:

A : B = 1 : 2 = 3 : 6

B : C = 3 : 4 = 6 : 8

C : D = 5 : 6 = 8 : 9.6

Now, A : B : C : D = 3 : 6 : 8 : 9.6 = 30 : 60 : 80 : 96

So, share of C = 80(30+60+80+96)×93,100{80 \over (30+60+80+96)} × 93,100 = 28,000

Hence the share of C is Rs. 28,000.
