An added Rs 4,000, B added Rs 4,000 and C withdrew Rs 4,000 every month. If the total profit is Rs 6,72,000, then what is C's share (in Rs)?

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. 2,80,320

⇒The investment made by A = 40 × 12 + 4 + 8 + 12 + 16 + 20 + 24 = 564

⇒The investment made by B = 48 × 12 + 4 + 8 + 12 + 16 + 20 + 24 = 660

⇒The investment made by C = 80 × 12 - 4 - 8 - 12 - 16 - 20 - 24 = 876

⇒The ratio of investment made by A, B, and C = 564 : 660 : 876

⇒The share of C from profit = (876/2100) × 6,72,000 = 2,80,320

Hence share of C is Rs 2,80,320.
