Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: A

Explanation

The correct answer is option 1 i.e 9

Let the number of units of work be LCM (24, 16, 32) = 96 units.

Number of units of work completed by A in one day = 96 / 24 ⇔ 4 units

Number of units of work completed by B in one day = 96 / 16 ⇔ 6 units

Number of units of work completed by C in one day = 96 / 32 ⇔ 3 units

A & C worked for 6 days ⇒ 6(4 + 3) = 42 units

Number of units left ⇒ 96 - 42

⇒ 54 units

B would take the number of days to complete the work = 54 / 6

⇒ 9 days
