SSC MTS - 25 July 2022 - Shift 3 • Quantitative Aptitude • Q64

A=7×21÷49−8×7÷16A = 7\times21\div49-8\times7\div16 and B=12+6−3×2+5×3B = 12+6-3\times2+5\times3. What is the value of (A ×\times B)

Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

Explanation

The correct answer is option 4 i.e. -13.5

By using BODMAS

A=7×21÷49−8×7÷16A = 7\times21\div49-8\times7\div16

⇒ 7 x 2149\dfrac{21}{49} - 8 x 716\dfrac{7}{16}

⇒ 3 - 3.5 = -0.5

B=12+6−3×2+5×3B = 12+6-3\times2+5\times3

⇒ 12 + 6 - 6 + 15

27

A x B = 27 x -0.5 = -13.5
